Any recommended mentors for P&C insurance agents?

If you have used a coach, how long? What were the most tangible results? What intangible impact did it have?

i have a mentor, without him i think i would have been a very slow start.

having a mentor in our field is crucial IMO. he helped me learn the ropes, introduced me to carriers/gatekeepers/leads.

helped me tremendously. even though i think i've outgrown him, there is always a few situation that comes up that i have to goto him for him. hes kinda just in cruising mode and im servicing his clients.

So where are you guys finding your mentors? Are you compensating them (assuming they aren't an upline of yours)?

Worked with somebody for the first 12-18 months but I stopped seeing the value at that point so I went in a different direction.

i feel the same way, i think you can learn everything within a year with a good mentor. but with him i think it can take up to 3 years. but any how, i compensate my mentor by servicing his clients / book until he retires in a few years and they become mine.

it was kinda of a hybrid buyout/mentor program.
