Will Any Carrier Touch an Old Van Modified into a Pickup?

I have a customer with an old Ford Econoline van that has somehow been cut off and modified into a pickup truck.

will any carrier touch that?

bonus points if you're licensed in Michigan. I'll send him your way. none of my carriers want it.

Have you tried Haggerty? I know they do some modified stuff but I've never ran into this situation.

thanks DJS. I forgot about Haggerty. I'll give them a try.

I did try American Collectors, who said they would only insure it if it is a show car.

I'd probably pay $10 just to see this ride. but I doubt it counts as a "show car".

but I forgot that Haggerty does do modifieds, so I'll check.

At least in MN they will do salvaged/modified I believe its a 10% surcharge

Did you try Leland West? I have used them and they have found some rates that beat Haggerty.

Haggerty and Leland West both said no. Auto Owners hasn't returned my voicemail message, so I'm assuming that's a no just like everyone else.

A lot of these specialty carriers avoid Michigan like the plague because of the medical requirements. but many said no before I told them what state. so they wouldn't have covered it regardless of location.

Going to let this one go.... not worth the time I've already spent on it.
