Will Your Producers Become Your Competing Agents?

Do you use producers? Do they usually become agents eventually and become your competitor?

Just curious how people manage that.

yes many stay because having a system and support helps.

However the best and brightest will eventually want to be your equal unless your best friends or something.

It's a new one on me. I think they mean fronters.

I think he means producer, as in a producer in a P&C shop. Both hold the same license, but always a bit of distinction between the guy with his name on the door, and people manning the desks.

a P&C producer is simply a licensed person who doesnt own the agency,

Some producers cant afford to start an agency, or dont want the hassles of owning an agency.

Not every producer wants to be an agency owner. If you find the right guys and compensate them fairly there is no reason for them to take on the additional risk and headaches.

Starting an agency is no small feat. Requires capital and motivation.
