So, I just ran quotes in FL, and Assurant is offering $50,000 then 100% coverage plans. They are also offering 20k with coinsurance options. Brilliant move for the higher net worth that want to keep rates low until Dec 2014 as they have stated. Get in now before Obamacare hits!!

LOL, I used to sell $25,000 and $50,000 deductible GTL (Guaranteed Trust Life) plans. The clients were either very well-off, or very broke.
The poor wanted the PPO discount and the Insurance ID Card for getting treated with respect and legitimacy at the E.R., Hospital, or Doc-In-the-box..

World insurance offered a $25k then 100% plan years ago. Sold a few of them.
Back in the old days when UnionMutual wrote major med they had a $50k deductible 100% plan.
Appears the Assurant $50k isn't available in GA yet. Just ran rates for 53 YO female on $10k & $15k and came up with rates of $170 & $134. Earlier today ran Humana rates for her on $7500 copay 70 at $117.
Nice concept but tough sale. Might look better at lower ages.

Wow, that is some deductible. and to think that only twenty years ago 90% of my sales had a $250 deductible.
