Just wondering how hard it is to write apps? I mean it can't be much harder than creating a website, can it?

Im envisioning an app for an Insurance Agency that customers can use to send change requests, pay bills, get quotes and do other stuff. Any idea how difficult this would be to implement?

Its actually pretty easy if you have knowledge of php and html... using jquery you can create something pretty easily that is web-based... but the hi-speed apps may require a professional ot tons of patience.

It wouldn't be that high tech really, just contact us, links to facebook/website, and report a claim, which sends us an email, things like that

So ive been using google appinventor most of the day. It seems like it will be pretty easy to setup a basic app that links to our website. It will have an intro screen, then a second screen which links to - get a quote, contact us, pay your bill, etc.

Took probably 4 hours to setup this simple app.

it depends on how knowledgeable you are in programming
i don't think it is too difficult just time consuming if you plan on doing this on your own
making android apps requires knowledge of the java and for the iphone it uses objective c programming language, and with the things you're asking also html, php, and a whole other bunch of programming languages

it would be pretty difficult to make one by yourself unless you put some time learning these languages

you can always try those do it yourself app creator on google but those programs can only do so much with what you want it to do but why not just hire someone who is an expert in java and android or iphone and then you can just tell them what you want your program to do
