Wrong Ages in White Pages and Other Public and Private Data

Does anyone know where the white pages get their age data?

My age has been wrong in the online white pages for as long as I can remember (about 7 years older), but my wife takes the cake. She's been getting Med Supp info from BX of NC since she turned 34.

I have a new client that is 39 and she told me that she joined aarp when she was 37. I asked her how that happened and she said that they sent her a mailer one day, she filled it out and sent it back and they sent her an ID card. She uses it for discounts, she knows that she can't apply for an aarp health plan or life insurance etc.

How does this stuff happen?

I have a similar problem. Somehow my birth certificate shows my DOB to be 20 years before the actual date.
