AMA Insurance launches new individual disability income insurance program for physicians

CHICAGO, January 12, 2017 – AMA Insurance Agency, Inc., a subsidiary of the American Medical Association (AMA), today introduced a new disability insurance program designed to meet the unique income-protection needs of physicians.

The individual disability income insurance product offered through the AMA Insurance program is underwritten by The Ohio National Life Assurance Company, Inc. (ONLAC), a subsidiary of Ohio National Financial Services.*

“We’re excited to introduce this new individual disability income insurance program to physicians,” said Al Drowne, vice president and general manager, AMA Insurance. “And we believe the innovative design of the Ohio National product will really help physicians customize coverage to their own specific needs.”

The Ohio National product provides superior flexibility with the base policy and six key riders, including two residual disability riders, two cost of living riders and a catastrophic disability benefit rider. Thirty-six configurations can be designed and tailored to a physician’s individual needs and budget, and the Ohio National product includes a number of important features such as a hospice care benefit and a survivor benefit. Additionally, the product is competitively priced and offers physicians access to a special AMA discount.

ContinuON Income Solutions® II product, issued by ONLAC, is the individual disability income insurance offered through the AMA Insurance program. The productwill be distributed by its strategic marketing partner, Millennium Brokerage Group, LLC (MBG), and Ohio National.
