Accuquote’s Udell quoted in new Motley Fool article on why people need life insurance

Brian Anderson

The Motley Fool website ran an article on June 21 featuring comments from Accuquote founder Byron Udell titled, “The Most Important Financial Decision You’re Probably Ignoring.”

In the article, author Jason Hall says, “as much time and effort as we put into investment planning, we often overlook the most valuable asset that we possess: our ability to generate income, especially during prime earning years.”

Hall goes on to provide some statistics on life expectancy, low death rates for people in their prime earning years, and the pitfalls of relying solely on employer-provided life insurance. He then quotes Udell, who chastises financial advisors for preaching diversification but ignoring life insurance as an asset class.
