NAIFA Virtual Performance + Purpose Conference set for Oct. 6-8

The National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors’ 2020 Performance + Purpose conference will provide three days of motivation, inspiration and education.

Financial professionals at every career stage and of every practice specialty will find value in the NAIFA event’s workshops that follow four key professional development tracks: Practice Management, Sales and Prospecting, Technology and Advanced Practices.

Programming will run from 12 to 3 p.m. ET each day of the conference. Daily keynote speakers are experts and thought leaders in the fields of marketing and communications:

  • Tuesday, Oct. 6: Jason Dorsey, President of the Center for Generational Kinetics, is an expert on Gen Z and Millennials. His presentation, “Selling and Marketing Insurance and Financial Products Across Generations,” is sponsored by Ohio National, with an introduction by Tom Michel, LACP.
  • Wednesday, Oct. 7: Liz Murray, speaker, best-selling author and co-founder and Executive Director of The Arthur Project, has a compelling and inspirational story about how she overcame an extremely difficult childhood to reach great heights of success. Her presentation, “From Homeless to Harvard,” is sponsored by Principal Financial Group, with an introduction by Steven Saladino, LACP, LUTCF.
  • Thursday, Oct. 8: Morris Morrison is a DISRUPTION speaker, business leader, author, and CEO of Morrison Global Brands. His presentation, “DISRUPT Yourself,” highlights building a fearless capacity to lead, while staying focused amid DISRUPTION and chaos, and is sponsored by MassMutual. Joseph Sparacio, CLU, LUTCF, CLF, who was recently named to NAIFA’s 2025 Strategic Planning Committee, will introduce the session.

“The virtual format of the 2020 P+P conference gives us a great opportunity to reach an even wider audience,” said NAIFA President-Elect Tom Michel, LACP, who also chairs the P+P Planning Committee. “NAIFA has designed this event to provide a concentrated dose of professional development and education formulated especially for insurance and financial professionals. With Zoom video conferencing technology, we are providing attendees with a unique opportunity to not just hear but also interact with industry experts and their fellow agents and advisors.”

The interactive component of P+P 2020 will feature virtual book signings, moderated discussions, and question and answer sessions. Topics covered by workshops will include virtual marketing, financial legacy planning, social media advertising, sales and prospecting ideas, and virtual communications during a pandemic. Registration is open to NAIFA members and nonmembers. Packages providing both live and on-demand access are available.
