InsureTech Connect founders tackle Human Resources market with latest conference venture

Insurance Forums Staff

The same people that created the fast-growing InsureTech Connect – the largest global gathering of insurtech startups, investors, and industry executives – are introducing a new event this year geared toward the Human Resources market.

The “HR Transform” conference highlights the tech-driven transformation of the workplace. This premier event will showcase leading edge HR and workforce-related products and shine a spotlight on the people building, funding and adopting those products.

Founded by InsureTech Connect co-founders Jay Weintraub and Caribou Honig in 2017, the inaugural HR Transform will be held April 4-5 at The Mirage in Las Vegas. Weintraub said HR Transform will offer unparalleled access to a comprehensive gathering of entrepreneurs, investors and HR executives from both enterprise and mid-market companies.

“The inspiration for the event grew out of our work on InsureTech Connect,” Weintraub said. “For a show that focuses heavily on technology and startups, talent and building the company of the future was a constant theme. How we work and the workplace have changed dramatically and are continuing to do so. In response to these changes, which are both technology driven and generational, the role of HR is having to change rapidly as well.” Weintraub said HR departments aren’t just becoming less administrative and more strategic – they need to. “HR Transform brings together arguably the largest gathering of forward-thinking people professionals and a chance for those looking to see what’s coming around the corner and explore new solutions for complex problems. The one thing HR Transform is not – your typical show with large vendors pitching the usual wares,” Weintraub says.

One of the foremost authorities on the future of work, The Honorable Penny Pritzker, Founder and Chairman of PSP Capital and the 38th Secretary of Commerce will keynote HR Transform 2018.

Penny Pritzker

Known as both an entrepreneur and an investor, Pritzker will share insights on how technology is driving change and how companies prepare for success in this new future. She is an entrepreneur, civic leader and philanthropist with more than 30 years of experience in numerous industries. Pritzker is the Founder and Chairman of PSP Capital Partners and an active investor in the HR Technology sector.

“We are thrilled to have the Honorable Penny Pritzker join us for our inaugural year of HR Transform,” said Samara Jaffe, Managing Director, HR Transform. “As Commerce Secretary, Ms. Pritzker heard from top CEOs and entrepreneurs about their needs and issues in a way few have. She brings that unique insight and more for attendees on how to adapt and embrace the changing nature of work.”

“I love building businesses, and know firsthand that your most important asset is your people. The organizers of HR Transform share my passion for talent as the key driver to successful organizations. I am looking forward to exchanging perspectives on the future of work and the impact of technology on the workplace with this unique audience of investors, entrepreneurs and industry executives,” Pritzker said.

HR Transform will feature over 150 speakers, including additional keynotes by Josh Wright, Executive Director, ideas42 and Kathryn Minshew, Co-Founder & CEO, The Muse.
