ITC Vegas set for October return

Insurance Forums Staff

The world’s largest insurtech event returns to Las Vegas in October.

ITC Vegas will be held at Mandalay Bay Oct. 4-6, 2021.

Over the course of three days, the event offers unparalleled access to the most comprehensive and global gathering of tech entrepreneurs, investors, and insurance industry incumbents who will convene to showcase new innovations, to learn how to increase productivity and reduce costs, and ultimately to enrich the lives of policyholders.

InsureTech Connect CEO and Founder Jay Weintraub posted on LinkedIn recently to confirm the event is proceeding as scheduled.

From the post:

Perhaps not surprisingly, the number one question I receive on a daily basis is, “Is ITC Vegas still happening?” For those wondering, the answer is yes.

The second most frequent question is, “What would it take for ITC Vegas to be cancelled or postponed?” The answer to that question is the State of Nevada shutting down convention spaces and/or the CDC recommending that vaccinated individuals should not attend events, even those with a vaccine mandate. Either or both of those scenarios do not seem likely.

Our goal has always been to make ITC as safe but arguably safer than what people most likely experience on a daily basis. And, I believe that the protocols we have in place, including being a fully vaccinated event, will mean ITC is no riskier than most people’s return to normal.

We couldn’t be more appreciative of all the companies who have reached out to express their enthusiasm for getting back together. ITC Vegas 2021 has more than 300 sponsors and official partners—a record for us. Our physical space is more than double what we have ever had. And the team has created the most experiential event we have ever offered. I cannot wait for the 5,000+ already registered attendees to see it.

COVID Protocols

All ITC Vegas attendees—including speakers and sponsors—will be required to affirm they are fully vaccinated.

In order to pick up a badge, all attendees will be asked to agree to the following: “As an attendee of ITC Vegas 2021, I affirm that at least two full weeks have passed after the final dose of a COVID-19 vaccine authorized for use by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) or by the equivalent authority in my country of residence.”

No badge will be issued to anyone who has not affirmed.

Sessions will be monitored and attendance limited to ensure each person has the appropriate space and to avoid accidental crowding. Overflow seating will be made available.

While being together is an important part of the ITC experience, ITC Vegas is being designed to allow for both in-person and online attendee participation with the brand new, ITC Vegas @Home option for those who do not wish or are unable to attend in person.

Registration information can be found here.

250+ Speakers

The conference features more than 250 speakers—from CEOs of global insurers to founders of startups looking to reshape the industry.

Among the scheduled speakers are Chubb Chairman and CEO Evan Greenberg, Empower Retirement Chairman and CEO Ed Murphy, Hippo CEO and Co-Founder Assaf Wand, Bold Penguin CEO and Co-Founder Ilya Bodner, Root CEO and Founder Alex Timm, Symetra Financial CEO and President Margaret Meister, and Haven Life CEO Yaron Ben-Zvi.
