123college.com Legit? Claiming $15-$20k Per WEEK

This guy called me from FL looking for partners etc.. basically I would be doing seminars for families looking to reposition money for kids college.. something like that. He says that people on average are making 15-20k per week but there is 8k I have to invest first, and the seminars I pay like 750 x2 per month.. Is this legit?
I have never done annuities and want to start this year- I have been a top personal producer in life sales- work alone- maybe in field 4 days a week or less and make a little over 100k-
lately I have been thinking that I want to make 400k or more and I think starting an agency or selling annuities/financial services may be the answer. Before some of you say that I should just work more. please don't.

OR advice please on making 400k + and please don't give me any NAA ra ra recruit stuff. Thanks

Do you really think people are making 15K-20K a week doing this??? If this was such a slam dunk, wouldn't everyone be doing this??? I have a feeling you will be in for a rude awakening if you send them the $8K

He is making 15-20K per week if he can get two suckers, uh..partners per week to send him 8k.

Instead, just send a charity of your choice $4,000. You'll feel good, won't be out $8,000 and make the same amount of money.

Ok so you guys are being D*cks. I guess putting more money into life and annuities makes them more eligible for financial aid etc Thats where the guy says all the money is being made- the parents also pay about 1400 to sit in this seminar. you get half that and there are usually around 18-25 people on average there. even if there is 10 people there who want to learn how to get the kids into college, who don't qualify for financial aid, scholarships etc thats 7k that goes to me already. The rep says they send out tri folds about this info to people in the area etc.. I spoke to a girl who says she will show me how to do the same thing with my book of business, She does make over 400k. I dont have to give her any money of course.
I was just curious on if it was true, so I could just figure out a way to do it on my own. I have access to all sorts of mailings, brochures etc at bulk rates
Anyway if anyone here has done something similar I would like to pick your brain.

They are helping people deposition assets into products that are not affect on the FASFA. I would hope you understand that much before investing. The only one who can answer if this work for you is how many people in your area would be willing to plop down 1400 to listen to a seminar? Are people making money doing this....In a word Yes. Just like people are making money doing many things how this would translate to you is up in the air.

The $1400 is a "college planning fee", not for participating in a seminar. This is for "123 College" to do the college aid search and plan to maximize the eligibility of aid, and to stretch it as far as possible for the best educational school and goals for the child.

If it's so good... why are they looking to recruit someone who has little to no annuity sales experience to send them $8k to "plug into" their program?

I think they're preying on newer agents who want to make the big bucks, but are too young to realize how much they don't really know.

I say run they just want your money and they will take it away. Run and you will be better off with the cash you save.
