5-Star policy rescinded after 5 months

So I just walked in the door to a letter from 5-Star, saying they have rescinded a policy I put into force 5 months ago, due to a "MIB follow-up coded report that conflicts with the answers you provided us."

No explanation specifically was given as to WHY the policy was rescinded.

I don't like this one bit.

Wow, is this a normal occurrence? How did they miss that the 1st time?

There must be some mistake. Hasn't Newby been saying and touting that 5-Star was awesome?

In my experience that happened when another agent came in behind you and reviewed the health questions on the app and found a problem. They called the company with the insured and "voila" instant problem.

I've been the 2nd agent several times. Usually it's when there is blatant clean-sheeting on the app. Smokers written as non-smokers, etc.

So you're accusing Rearden of "clean-sheeting"?

That wouldn't come from the mib report, versus the client admitting they didn't answer the questions correctly...weird stuff. First time I have heard of a situation like that

Re: WTF 5-Star?

The letter implies they ran an MIB later on, not that the insured informed them there was a mistake on the application.

Have you spoken with the insured? I'd love to see their justification to the insured for the recession.
