Just getting goofier and goofier and watered down more and more.

Dropping employer coverage requirement?

And then that hybrid, public option drivel. Probably only about two people in the country, if that, who could articulate what the frig that is in the real world.

This time, count me out on the usual discussion about whether "the bill" will pass or not. Go for it or not. I am sure if it passes it will be a victory of some sort except no one can remember what is in it anymore. The dems will just look at each other in a drunken haze and say, "I don't know what we just did, but if it was good for you it was good for me." Groovy baby.

Saddle up the camel though. We are going for some kind of ride.

Change you can believe in.

The 19th ... oh please say I only have 1 more week?

What's the latest deal on employer coverage exactly?
They were trying to get rid of that all along right?

Does anyone know about the latest deal on ...

GI
P. Option (thought that was done?) "hybrid" WTF?
health exchange?

What weapons have they got left in that bill that can be used to phase out private companies. That is all that is relevant as far as this lil neo is concerned.

No, no one knows because all the negotiations are being done behind closed (make that Peeeeeeeelosi SLAM!) doors and we are not allowed to know.

We have been presented with the proverbial Trojan Horse, we are the ones on the shores of Troy, with gift being given by our dear leaders. It does look like quite a nice gift, the exterior package is very lovely, but we know what actually happens once the gift is opened.

I've said it before, I'll say it again. The problem with the bill is it didn't start out as a problem in search of a solution, it started out as a solution in search of a problem.

The real problem they are trying to solve (I think) is that medicare is broke and getting broker by the day. Rather than addressing that problem, they threw in the kitchen sink and figured there was a better way. Thing is, as more legislatures learn more about what they are trying to do, they realize it doesn't work outside of some utopian society.

On one hand, you have the auto makers who are saying that health care costs make them uncompetitive in their pricing, but then you have the legislatures trying to push that exact model as the way of the future, stating that it will save money in the long run. The math doesn't add up.

Sounds like they may be figuring this out.

Not so sure about the camel part, but it does appear that Nancy Pelosi has been working her charms in Turkey!

Whose that China cat ... Art of War Guy? (google) Sun Tzu.
"Every battle is won before it is ever fought."
These bozo's were trying to cut medicare and wipe out private insurers along with controlling doctors in an attempt to cut costs. Basically, while compromising the middle classes care. Rich don't need insurance, the feds would have their own plan and the douchebags will take anything because they have nothing to lose. Who loses? monkey in the middle.
Didn't go over real big.
They counted on riding Barry's wave of popularity and the public's general distain for insurance companies all the way to the shoreline. They did it all on the fly and from the moment they first, unpreparedly, conducted their hilarious town hall meetings and had their butts handed to them have been on the back peddle ever since.
I do think they really want to put it behind them ... for a while at least.
