I've seen agents in other states offering AAA coverage. I've heard rumors about them appointing brokers in CA. Is this true at all or are they staying with the call center/in-house agency model?

Their website seems to be devoid of any such information.

As far as I know, AAA for California (both states, north and south) are direct sales only.

For AAA, Southern California is actually a different company than Northern California.

Incorrect, AAA broker franchises are available here in Pa. Probably other states as well...I know two local agencies that are franchised

I actually met an AAA marketing rep at a non-insurance event. She told me AAA was expanding to independent agents in Southern California. I gave her my card and said I would like to be included in that but haven't heard back from her. That was nearly a year ago.

I know AAA sells through IAs in other states, looks like they're thinking about opening that up here in CA.

1manshow, the AAA in PA is different from the AAA in Northern or Southern Cali.

I work for AAA Missouri and they do appoint some brokers. It's going to vary from group to group. We're all AAA, but we're all different and don't offer the same insurance.
