Anyone have any experience writing P&C with AAA Insurance. Specifically AAA Mid-Atlantic if you can. I'm interested in representing them as an independent agent. Thanks in advance.

In my state, IL, AAA is pulling indy appts and switching over to direct writing

contact onemanshow, he is on this forum, he mentioned he was checking them out, a while back. daniel williams insurance, middle of nowhere pa. he may chime in.

from what i understand, they are entering the pa market, in the other states they are in now they are very competitive.

A new client I got just left AAA. He told me the they actually went to his office, here in CA, to go over his quotes. I was surprised that they did that.

Thanks for the replies. I've just seen them as a good operating company with competitive rates. And the name recognition does not hurt either.
They currently write here in Pa but policies are written through their brick and mortar offices through captive agents (I guess). Someone told me they were looking at appointing indy agents so i thought I'd ask.

I have AAA in MN. They were ultra competitive for a while. They just took rate on auto and property. Claims is below average. Good credit+good rate. They go through a lot of product revisions.

I represent AAA in Florida. There prices down here aren't as competitive as others, but their name sells easily here (we have a lot of start up companies down here). Their overall retention in Florida is phenomenal and their company wide loss ratio in Florida is under 40% per our marketing rep. I like selling their package policy because its usually not that much work and big commissions. Our average annual premium for a AAA package policy is around $4,000 and I believe they pay about 14% comm.
