I have a Female 73 N/S treated for CHF and taking furosimide.
She is also insulin diabetic. She has no life coverage as she let her AARP coverage lapse.
AARP is quoting $85.93 for their guaranteed ROP plan for $10K whole life coverage.
This premium seems very strong. Do any of you have any thing that I can write that will beat this?
By the way, I know that this is a group plan and that premiums are not guaranteed, that they can raise rates if they raise everyone in the class. Does anyone know how often this has occurred w/ AARP?

Thanks,

If her Congestive Heart Failure has been treated with the same meds for 2-years or longer and she didn't take insulin prior to age 40- she could likely get preferred rates with Assurant/American Memorial.

Great company. Rates are higher than most others but in cases like this they are great to have. They also give you a firm accept/decline decision when you do the phone interview so you don't have to wait for an answer.

She would be $74.15 monthly with 1st day coverage and GUARANTEED against rate increases.

Pays 115% with 8% renewals forever.

I have the contracts if you need it.
