New for 2010 plans... oh well... the ride was good while it lasted.

Q1. Do any of the following apply to you?
have end stage renal (kidney) disease
currently receiving dialysis
diagnosed with kidney disease that may require dialysis
admitted to a hospital as an inpatient with the past 90 days

Q2.Within the past two years, has a medical professional recommended or discussed as a treatment option, any of the following that has NOT been completed:

hospital admittance as an inpatient
organ transplant
back or spine surgery
joint replacement
surgery for cancer
heart surgery
vascular surgery

Say yes... and you don't get coverage.

You're probably right. Lisa is doing her Modernized Cert for AARP and cut/pasted that in an email.

What do you know?

X2

Here in Cali, most of my senior is T65, or, annual birthday open enrollment. Currently, AARP only asks the end stage question here in Cali.

When you say "currently" do you mean that you are still writing the "original" standardized plans or are you now writing the "new" standardized plans? Do you have apps for their new plans yet?

The original plans can be written up to and including May 31.

Like I said: My OP was based on what I've now determined to be incomplete information (what state, when, where?) I should have asked questions before I posted.

We'll learn more tomorrow.

Yes
I'm writing the Standardized plans at the moment.
Don't have any new Modernized apps as yet.

I don't sell for AARP so I am curious to learn what they are going to do nation wide or if they are going to make exceptions on a state to state basis. It will be interesting to see what they do.

It would sure be nice if all companies would share the information with us now. My bad, I keep forgetting that we, the agents, are the red-headed step children of the insurance industry. Kind of like mushrooms, the keep us in the dark and feed us BS. haha

Just received the AARP enrollment packages for the June 1 starting date and the new questions are on the application.
I am in California.
