I recently came across an opportunity in the local paper about a life insurance job selling final expense insurance where they provide the leads for you from direct mail pieces they have received. They give you 75 percent commission but charge you 20 dollars a lead. You go through two days of shadowing and you are out on your own. I have sold life insurance before but nothing like this. Suggestions from anyone?? Sound like a good opportunity for beginners?? Advice anyone??

Do you know who the providers are of the Final Expense? I can tell you my IMO offers 100% payout and and lead cost are less then that. We are also aligned with some of the biggest providers.

If paying $20 a lead I would want to know what kind of closing ratio they have. Feel free to give me a call, I am newer to the Final Expense market but I can help give you some pointers.

At 75% commission the lead cost should be much lower. If you have sold insurance before you can sell FE. It's one of the easier products to sell.

Get appointed w/ a handful of companies that have the best rates. The majority offer 100-115% commission.

You can send out your own reply cards through a company like www.mainstreetpowermail.com. If you target more rural communities you can expect 1.5-2% return.

Look up Newby on this forum, he has some good contracts available.

Monumental offers a good lead program.

Doesn't sound real wonderful. In my opinion, they should be providing leads free or nearly free ($5 maybe) at that rate UNLESS you are getting fantastic ongoing hands on training and office support.

Final expense is easier than some types of insurance but it is still very specialized. I know I couldn't train someone in two days to be REAL good at it no matter how much health insurance or term life they've sold before.

Well as you produce the price of the leads goes down by quite a lot actually. And these leads are direct mail from seniors who they are targeting that are sent back in to the the company.

As long as the cost decreases with the increase of production this is a decent offer. In the end you need to learn and you need the support since you are green. The reality is this produce and doors will open to you in terms of contracts and benefits. The big dog always eats well in this profession.
