Accident Claim Questions (rental, Etc.)

I was recently rear-ended by another driver and am not found to be at fault. I have a claim open with the other driver's company (Liberty Mutual). I have two vehicles and would really prefer to drive my truck instead of getting a rental car. Should I be able to get any sort of compensation for use of my truck? The other driver's company will not have to pay out for a rental at all so it seems like they should be willing to at least offer me something. Also, is it common to see some sort of settlement for diminished value? My car is a 2011 model and had never been wrecked before--it doesn't even have a scratch or door ding on it. I'm not expecting much but it seems like I should at least be entitled to a few hundred dollars.

Perhaps someone with some experience with insurance could answer my questions. I would just like to go into the process with a bit of an idea what to expect.

You will get no compensation for using your truck. If you choose not to get a rental that coverage goes unused, you can't profit from it.

It is also very very unlikely you will get any payment on a diminished value.

Also on what to expect, don't expect them to make a fair offer on the claim. The last 4 or 5 claims I've seen that someone has opened one with the at fault parties carrier have gone no where, either terrible offers or a flat denial. Most of the time it seems we go through our insurance and then subrogate.

'You will get no compensation for using your truck. If you choose not to get a rental that coverage goes unused, you can't profit from it'. That's true!
