For 2014 Healthnet had an AOR for client's signature. I am wondering what agents are using this year. Do you ask your clients to sign an AOR for each application? or do you just trust the marketplace will record and pass your NPN to the carriers?

I keep a signed AOR/BOR letter on hand for every client, and submitted it as a supporting document with every case I submitted on exchange.

Don't trust that the marketplace will get your info to the carrier, or that the carrier will give you the BOR after the fact without a signed BOR letter.

There's a LOT of cases that went to carriers, that for one reason or another, the writing broker wasn't paid for. Cover yourself, no one else will.

Do you do each of your enrollments in person? I'd say 80% or so of mine are via phone (I try to make it that way just due to time constraints!). Luckily 1 out of the 2 main carriers in the area accepts an AOR WITHOUT a clients signature, just us attesting we helped them. However, doubt most of the folks I'm helping via phone would be able to return a signed AOR.
