A small FMO in my area recently bought a small IPA in the area and wants to train some of his agents to go into the doc offices and present the IPA. Besides being the agent that would write the people in the doctors office, what else can I ask for or expect? Meaning.. what will an IPA get if one senior enters a plan where the doctor is contracted with this IPA?

Depends on the IPA they are offering. Sierra Nevada does a real good one in their Torpedo, I like Boulavard's Single Wide as well.

Some doctors are not beer drinkers though.

I'm all about the IPA. My top 5 breweries are Victory, Stone, Great Divide, Bell, and my favorite of all breweries---Dogfish Head. The 90 Minute IPA is exceptional and the 120 Minute IPA will bitchslap you into happy oblivion.
Honorable Mention to Smuttynose, Sierra Nevada, and Cigar City Jai Alai IPA.

Do you think it's a good idea to sell beer in a Doctor's office?:err:

I like Southern Tier Brewery's 3x IPA. West Coast Brewery has a really good one called Green Flash. Stone IPA is always a good standby. And Terrapin has a couple of really good IPAs to choose from.

I used to drink IPA years ago when it wasnt cool and no restaurants carried it. Back then all you could find was Harpoon IPA, which is a good one too.

Interesting note, IPA (India Pale Ale) was not named that because it was brewed in India, but because it was the only type of beer that would last on the long sea voyage from England to India. The higher than average alcohol & hops help to preserve it. So if you ever see nautical themes on the bottle or can sometimes that is the reason why.

I was hoping this thread would be about an agent who was working for IPA instead of commissions.... although by the way this thread is going it looks like IPA or beer in general is the end result of a lot of commissions anyways.. :D

I would never work for an IPA, I'd accept one at an appointment if offered. That would beat stale coffee or flat ice tea.

Celebration is out this time of year....save the Torpedo for January....

Seriously, if you like Torpedo, you should try Hoptimum. It doesn't even look like a Sierra beer (and only comes in 4 packs) but is awesome if you're a hoppy but smooth IPA fan.
