Anyone work the census?

I decided to take a break from the FE rat race and work the census in my area. I made some good money with no expense. Wish it didn't end October 31st.

I have been working what I have been told is one of the most dangerous communities in the FL panhandle. Multitudes of homes way off the beaten path abandoned after Hurricane Michael. Saw a deputy parked in a parking lot last week and stopped to ask for help. He said he was surprised I hadn't been carjacked. Said if he was a criminal and wanted to hide from the law this town would be his choice. He asked me if I carry. I told him the census didn't allow it. He told me in a strong voice "I don't care what your boss says I am telling you don't come back without your gun." Since then I have followed his advice. Most people have been cooperative.
