Well it looks like Aetna has supressed the Assure DSNP for 2024 enrollments... seems a bit shady to me.

Its not on think agent.

It's still on Medicare dog gov.

Local rep says you have to use a paper app.

Im looking at KS, but I expect it is the same everywhere.

They've removed all plans that won't be available in 2025 from all enrollment platforms.

Im told they are "doing what's best for our members"

...by withholding access to benefits?

or by limiting costs to the plan, by limiting the amount of non renewing members?

They're doing what's best for their shareholders more like..

Hello Mrs beneficiary, we understand you are eligible for the DSNP plan, with our great OTC benefits.

We also understand this is the last quarter you are eligible to enroll in our great plan. And, to protect you from us and our great plan, we are going to make it very difficult for you to get what you are eligible for.

Yes, we understand medicare and medicaid are paying us to help make this available to you, paying us with your tax dollars, but we must do this... because it is best, for, you.

And if it makes you feel any better, please also realize, we are taking steps to protect agents, from enrolling people into our drug plan for 2025. We are very thoughtful people. The agents have helped make us what we are, helped us create such a huge footprint. Now, we must show them who we really are.

You can always trust the leadership at Aetna, to do what we can to protect our wallets from you, wait, we mean, protect you from our wallets, wait, we are confused, we don't know what we are doing. If you have second guesses, please wait a couple of years, until we have new leadership....

Signed,
Aetna Medicare

Paper apps are becoming a way for carriers to limit new business. I refuse to offer a product that requires a paper app.

It's interesting that a PDP plan can get sectioned, but can an MAPD plan also be sanctioned?

This is so irritating. I expect to do a simple enrollment today. And now this. A paper application is needed, for a lady Ive known for a year, who lives 7 hours away from me. Im also enrolling her uncle and mother, into a different plan, so no paper app needed.

I havent done a paper MAPD app since 2018
