Hello,
Our company is new to insurance and has the technology to do all the marketing to generate leads. We are looking for a quote engine that we can integrate into our websites so we can show car insurance quotes on our website. We are not looking for someone to host or manage our websites, but instead we would like it where we can post data to them and they can return results which we can use to show the results of the quote request. We are looking for a company that works with multiple carriers and has ability to show in as many states as possible.

Thanks for your help in advance!

I think you are better of finding someone on freelance web sites to work on this project for you. I think that could be very well implemented using simple applets on Java or even some back end scripting.

I am not quite getting one of your requirements though. What do you mean, post data to them? Are you saying that you need some kind of a table where you are going to include information regarding price quotes and what are included?

Some comparative raters have that feature; I would look at a couple of the raters sites and see which would have the easiest integration in to your site.

douge, you have to be appointed first!. if you are a new start up... it is going to be harder to get appointments.. on the p&c side of the business.

Problem is, its going to depend on what states you want. Also, it's not cheap.... and by that, I mean there is a monthly fee involved in getting rates.

Several companies do provide web-based raters for auto (and home) but it is a several person full time job to keep up with the rate changes, underwriting changes, quirks in interfaces, etc. Most of them use what is called manufacturered rates to enable website quoting (manufacturered simply means calculated rather than actually ran on the carriers website).

One such system is webfsc, or go to WebFSC - Read More - FSC - Helping Producers Win More Business
and check it out. It's only for a few states though.

Others exist. I think quomation is putting one out now as well.

You really have to wonder if it will get you enough business to make it worthwhile. If was easy and inexpensive, more sites would have auto comparative raters.

Dan
