Aviva USA Sale?

With all the rumors that Aviva could be selling its U.S. unit, I'm working to gather agents' reactions for a story for LifeHealthPro.com. I'm curious: what would a sale of the company mean for your business?

I'm appointed with Aviva, but haven't written any business. So, my answer would be that a sale would have ZERO impact on my business (currently).

While I like AE's story, 16 yr surrender charge products are a tough pill for me to swallow

Not if you learn the secret to the product........plenty of liquidity....and most of my cases are income related, so the SC is a non issue....

I'll admit my ignorance. Please share the secret to the product.

American Equity has short term products with either no bonus or 5-8% bonuses. The 16 YR sc is due to the true 10% bonus; allow the company to Recoup their costs. Good product when income is needed or for the masses who are letting their money sit/grow or for the kids.

I don't think any 16 year product can be considered a "good product."
