BCBSOK Cuts Individual Commission!

BCBSOK has reduced their individual commission from 20% / 10% down to 8% / 5%. :1mad:

I'm sure there's an OK agent who has received the communication and can post it. All I have is a faxed copy of the broker blast.

BCBSNC had a minimal reduction. I'm hoping my local blues stays the course and keeps our commissions intact!

People in OK buy health insurance? I was under the impression that they were all on medicaid. Hmmmm.....

BXNC---They don't appoint indy agents, so it shouldn't be an issue for anyone here.

When OK gets the internet this is really going to hurt.

They just got dial-up modems...watchout!

Seriously though BCBSOK is part of HCSC which runs Blue plans in Illinois

I just received a notice on my telegraph machine that this topic was being discussed. So I though I 'd chime in.

I can confirm this. I received the contract last week. New commission structure starts 1/1/2011. I'm wondering if Texas, Illinois, and New Mexico got the same notice. BC/BS of Oklahoma is the most competitively priced carrier in the state.

On the bright side they did guarantee all policies written during 2010 will receive current commission rate throughout the life of the policy. Which is more than any other carrier is willing to admit.

Looks like December will be my last month offering BC/BS of OK.

IL is getting commission cuts, but I can't remember the percentages or if they've even been announced.
