Best Auto Inside Sales Company to Work For?

So, it looks like I'm probably going to work auto sales for one of the call center companies. There are a variety of options in my State of AZ...Esurance, Freeway Insurance, The General, Safeco (maybe hiring maybe not), Liberty Mutual (if they don't care I don't have a degree) and probably others. What the best, considering workplace social environment, job difficulty, and salary?

I don't. But everyone else seem to either be a scam, or wanting 2-5 years experience.

It's not a bad place to start. Odds are you would make more money than most new agents which would increase your odds of staying in the industry.

This forum leans pretty heavy towards implying the new agents should get guaranteed upfront releases, top contracts, and only start off independent. I believe the forum helps a lot of agents, but in that respect it's doing them a disservice. Right off the bat, agents that start independent are less likely to stay in the business. Agents that get "top contracts" with "guaranteed upfront releases" are telling uplines that they aren't willing to commit to anything and as such the recruiters might hand out the contracts, but the amount of support any of them in their right mind will give is fairly limited. This industry can have a huge learning curve, so that's a real problem.

To answer your original question, I would just interview with them and/or look at the job descriptions. Any of them are probably going to give you a good start and you're guaranteed to make money, a better guarantee than most opportunities are going to give you.

I would go somewhere where you can switch jobs at some point if you decide the company works for you. Call centers generally don't care about college experience and are more concerned if you can handle a computer and talk on the phone. Out of the ones you've mentioned, Liberty will probably be the most portable and look the best on your resume if you have bigger goals later on.

Go to liberty Mutual web site, and see if they are hiring agents for outside sales. They have a job section. Be ready for a test, with some math,. That is the best job for p&c, pays very good. Stay 2 years and then go indy.
