I am a licensed Group 1 Life\Health agent moving from Texas to Naples, FL. I have been almost exclusively Medicare\Major Med in my career. My current Medicare business requires almost all of my attention during AEP and I plan to live in Texas and service\grow during that time frame. Other than the occassional one-off's, I don't seek to build a medicare business in Florida because of my Texas book demands in AEP.
'Ye Wise Ol Posters of this board can you help a future beach bum out and offer your suggestions of hot products, services or even widgets in South Florida that have a strong outlook that I should look at selling?
A few things about me:
- College grad licensed 17 years but wouldn't hesitate to move into another line of work; Former exec in large financial software company
- Not hard-seller: My philosophy carry all\best products and just work on the relationship (built a very nice business through only referrals; zero advertising other than business cards, refrigerator magnets and client letters)
- When I work- I work hard and long. I play the same way. I want to continue the flexibility I have now as we follow my daughter's college Indoor & Sand volleyball career the next 4 years and vacation more.
- Considering focusing on Life Insurance but do not want to go anywhere near a financial advisor role or any products in which clients have significant risks. Haven't sold much life in past and yes, I know, I have missed a LOT of revenue.
