Best NY Agency Appointments for Individuals/Group Sales

Hello my name is Azar Latif. I am actually new to the Insurance Industry. My father has been in the field for 40+ years. Now I have started my own agency in Staten Island. I feel that todays market is a great time to get in to the field. Mostly I was interested in doing P&C policies. However, with this new HealthCare reform I feel the need for brokers/agents has increased so its a great time to get involved. I am also looking for a licensed agent to help get the newly formed agency up and running quickly. However, my main question was what are the best agencies to get appointed to selling Individual mainly in the State of NY. I know some companies commission earnings are utterly unacceptable. However, I know someone on this forum and in NY has more knowledge about this than I do being new to the industry. Any tips on this topic, marketing, or any advice to a new comer would be appreciated on my part. I'll keep searching the forums but I think this a good thread for every one to exchange info and strategies on how to maximize our output together in this new reform.
