Holy Shoot! I spoke with a prospect last night who was in medicare for a couple years. She had part B and a med supp, and the whole bit, and now they have booted her out.

I guess she neglected to point out the little detail that she was not an American citizen and they found out. She is Canadian with a green card. To make things worse they are trying to recover payments they made. And of course on top of that she has no health insurance. Even if she makes a trip to Canada they wont cover her because she is not resident there even though she is a citizen.

Hopefully she doesnt get locked up too. Sometimes people say they are citizens when they are not. Could happen. I heard about it happening in California so it must be true.

This needs more clarification than what you've given. There are many many resident aliens with green cards who never bothered to become citizens and have Medicare A&B and supps or MA's. I personally know of several, and none have had benefits yanked.

One is using her benefits like all the time...chronically ill and age 87. Been a resident since 1954 or something like that.

I have not taken her on as a client. She states that she has spoken with other agents who have solutions for her and I have other fish to fry so I wished her well.

In regard to clarification, she states that they yanked her benefits and that is why she is looking for other options. If that is not true or she is entitled to them, then she needs to appeal that with medicare. I am taking a pass.

No problem Winter. Obama will fix this.

Yup. I think that providing health care for Canadian citizens could be a way of stimulating our economy.
