Can I Sue For Wrongful Withholding Of A Corpse?

However, an undertaker's mere refusal, until he is paid, to bury a corpse placed in his possession for that purpose has been held not to constitute a wrong where the body was returned to the relatives on demand so that alternate arrangements could be made.

I am so glad I am not in a business where I may be forced to place a lein on a corpse and hold said corpse until I am completely paid for burying said corpse....That is one creepy asset.

Haven't got to the article yet but my first thought was, I'm glad you weren't talking about YOUR corpse :-)

Second, I'm not sure Habeas Corpus applies to ones that aren't breathing.

Times like these call for a thumbs down button.

Yeah I keep refusing to go back to Facebook until they add a thumbs down button.

It'll never happen though. The teenage suicide rate would quadruple over night. :1mad:

Maybe if we would stop telling them how special and great they are just because they can spell their own names they wouldn't take some negativity so hard.

I'm not saying bullying is ok, but it isn't anything new. Bullying is older than time.

Oh I'm with you. We had 8 years of people making fun of Bush, and rightly so in many cases. Then some poor rodeo clown makes fun of Obama and the whole country is up in arms.

Give me a break, he's a clown. That's his job. Now the guys banned from being a rodeo clown in Missouri. And he'll probably get fired from his real job too.

I guess the new rule is never make fun of Kim Jong Obama. :nah:
