Carrier Wants APS Now What ?

Client is preferred,54,NT Male,recovering alcoholic,2/12 years sober. On colonopen for anxiety. APS requested due to script check.
Write him on another carrier ?

Why not wait for the underwriting decision? Just because they order and APS doesn't mean a decline.
 
There's no uw decision until the APS is complete. This could take weeks,months. Deal killer.

I would have the client call the doctors office manager and ask them to expeditae sending the records. have done this many times. the office gets paid to make copies of the records.
 
APS is usually no big deal. Had a customer recently have APS that took almost three weeks. Underwriting said medical history was so long and bad it would probably be graded. Got issued as standard

I wouldn't just jump to another carrier because of an APS. I believe this is the one you said the company wanted the client to contact the doctor and to pay the doctor for the APS?

If we are talking about the same one then absolutely I would have gone with another carrier. Not only that, I would never write with the other carrier again.
