Chrome Works, Explorer Doesn't

Suddenly, out of the blue, my HumanaOne login doesn't work. It keeps telling me I am already logged in, or that my login has expired and it loops me back to the login page. Others in my office are having no trouble with their logins. The computers are set up the same.

This happened after an automatic Windows update. I talked to H1 and he had me delete cookies, history, temp files etc. Put H1 in as a trusted site. No luck.

BUT: I can log in in Google Chrome. It isn't a big deal because I can use Chrome if I need to for Humana, but it doesn't work for other things I do on the computer. Just wondering if anyone else had any issues like this. The guy at H1 did say their website works best if you use Explorer 7 or less, and I have 8. But it was working up until now.

It sounds like its having an issue creating a session variable or cookie, depending on how they store the login, i'd imagine its a session (stored server side). The clearing of cookies SHOULD have helped, but if it is having a problem creating cookies i'd imagine its a security setting in windows somewhere.

Someone's still using Explorer? Why, is it 1995?

Yes we are and we are proud of it dammit! I wish it was 1995 - I was thinner then with less wrinkles, and my kids were nicer, but that is another story. Forgot to ask the Humana tech what is the best platform, he just said their site works best with Explorer 7 or earlier. Don't have Firefox on this computer, but it's on another one somewhere in this office.

Just logged in with IE9, no problems. I can do most of what I need on the H1 site with FF. Haven't tried Chrome in a while on the H1 site.

IE9 is actually pretty decent they fixed most of the bugs, only took like 5 years. Just in time for html5 to come out and break the **** out of it again.
