I have a business owner who does not qualify for financial assistance but at the same time cannot afford Orenitram.
It doesn't seem to be on anyones formulary. The cost is running about $70,000 a year. Any suggestions are appreciated

If your client is on Medicare they are not eligible for copay assistance.

Patients using Medicare, Medicaid, or any other state or federal government program to pay for their medications are not eligible.

They may qualify for a grant from some of the programs mentioned in this link.

They may also talk with their doctor about lower cost alternatives.

Are you making a broad statement or is this specific to the OP's question? Because I have personally assisted folks in getting financial help even when the PAP sign says "No Medicare people allowed".

It can happen.

+1 i have been surprised how often this happens when people are willing to jump through the hoops. It will be interesting to see next year if they are really going to have a zero tolerance for PAP because of the new IRA rules.I have recently spoken to a quite a few people who said they got re-approved for their PAP for another year so i imagine they would have to be grandfathered in for another 12 months
