Client With HIPPA Plan

I have a client who is eligible for a HIPPA plan. UHC charges a little over double of the base rate which is to high for my client.

Is this the norm for the other carriers? The aetna rep just gave me the # to the DOI and HUMANA HIPPA dept is having problems with their phone lines today.

Pleas advise-

Yes, but UHC is THE only one that will pay a commission to you.

Humana pays full commission on the base rate too. UHC is almost always the cheapest on HIPAA plans....I wouldn't count on Humana being any cheaper.

I think Humana does a lot of things different in FL...when you call the HIPAA line they specifically ask if you are calling for Florida cases.

Florida is now part of the Conch Republic, so they do things differently there.
