Commercial Dwelling Fire?

I have a property question I'm hoping you guys/gals can answer for me.

Say I'm a property owner and I have 5+ single family homes that I own and rent to others (this is my business, renting homes). What kind of insurance do I get to cover the structure of each of the homes? Is there such a thing as a Commercial Dwelling Fire, or are they covered under a Commercial Property policy?

I know with most of the companies I have worked with, they won't write more than 4 dwelling fires for a single owner, but where do I go after they passed that threshold?

thanks, we're trying to clear up some confusion here :skeptical:

If you can't do it in personal lines, where else do you have to go? Most likely it will be an E&S broker.

Yep, Travelers will write up to 12 under one individual or LLC, thats the rule here in AZ land.
I also have a carrier that would write under one policy a common liability with multiple locations. this would be a commercial policy from that carrier.
The Foremost's and American Moderns will not have an issue with the number of units either.
Remember, this guy needs an umbrella if these units are individually owned...or boost the limits to the max.

Good luck and good selling!
