Commercial Property Commissions

Hello,

I was wondering what commissions looked like for selling commercial property. I have a good connection who owns his own commerical real estate company and could refer business to me. Any idea what commissions would look like for buildings in the 75,000 to 200,000 square foot range or is that to broad of a question?

Thanks

Its very broad. Depending on the industry, the values can range wildly from one product to the next. Generally speaking, you can expect 10-12% commission though. However, commercial products, especially the larger ones, can be quite a bit of work. For example, I wrote a small gas station recently. CGL with liq. liability and so on, basic coverages. I think the premium was around 5k per year. 200,000 sq foot, again, depending on the industry, could see tens of thousands ore much much more in premium.

I do mostly commercial buildings(LRO) , very competitive market but the retention is better. My arrangement with wholesaler is 10%.
But today I got appointed with PSMI who hav very competitive pricing for commercial properties, motels/hospitality businesses.
