Hi Everyone,
This is my first post here. I have past experience in the insurance and finance field, but in Canada. I immigrated here a few years ago and they are finally allowing me to work again. I am interested in starting with a company that does not cost me a lot of investment to start and is not based on cold calling (similar to SelectQuote). Does anyone have any suggestions for me? I'd like to be able to work with prospects or loose referrals (not all cold-calling - because I suck at that) and not have to invest a lot of my money to start (as we have gone through a lot of our savings (immigration costs) just living here for the last four years, hoping to eventually get our green cards). I would prefer to focus on Life Insurance and perhaps Disability Insurance.
All suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Are there other similar companies to SelectQuote?
Who would you avoid (I've heard bad things about various companies - Health Markets, Farmers'...)?
How are AAA?
I'd love to hear from you. I'm also hoping to be able to have the freedom to work from home (but not a deal-breaker). I have seven year of experience and education (including CFP) in another country, so I have some knowledge already.
