Compensation Plan—Seeking Feedback

I've been asked to overhaul an existing sales compensation program. I would be very appreciative if anyone would be willing to prvide thoughts or comments on the current program features.

Regional carrier, standard personal lines (no life)

• Base salary of $15,000
• New business commission of 13%
• Renewal commission of 5%
• If lead from affinity program, both comm. reduced by 1.5%
• Bonus program ($1k for every 5 units above 80 units/yr.)
• Company car
• Producers work out of their homes
• Annual trip for top performers

Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.
