I had worked for farm bureau for 4 years and now that I have left my customers want to move with me. Im currently working for a independent agency with Access to Safeco, Metlife, Travelers, The Hartford. So far I can not compete with them or even get close. I am just looking for advice from anyone. Im located in Texas south of Dallas.

Try putting them with USAA.
What type of business ? I know farm bureau here in Utah places a products and completed ops exclusion on their contractors policies to get the premium way down. I would reqeust policy copies and kindly punch holes in the coverage with the a potential client. Build yourself up and Farm Bureau down in a respectful manner. They should not have issues paying more with you. Also highlight the membership fee, though its cheap it still does them no good coverage wise to pay it.
