Conversion Rates FE Vs Med Supps

Assuming an agent has the top 2 or 3 most competitive med supp plans rate wise, and a full compliment of FE companies covering all the needed bases, would there be a higher conversion of BRM leads into AP for FE or med supps?

You should get more AP from med supps. The prices are higher and you will get a better response from direct mail for med supps.
 
Always found Medsup to be a little easier sale as well. Despite the fact everyone will die, getting sick seems to be more of a reality. I guess if you are dead then you don't have to worry about anything...get sick and you still have to pay bills!
 
That's assuming your mailing into a good area. Up here sucks for med supps...

If it sucks for med supps I would guess that it would also suck mailing for FE. you would still have to sell twice as many FE plans as you would med supps to get the same AP. You may make more money of the FE drops but the annual premium should be more doing med supps. I would do whatever makes the most money not which one produces more ap...

Why are you comparing conversion rates to AP? AP means nothing to the agent when measuring ROI. You should be comparing it to commissions. FE will get you 5X the commissions per AP dollar.

UW is in your favor when it comes to FE. With graded, modified and now GI, you are good to go. With Med Supp, some people are just too sick for a policy. Many folks with great group retiree health insurance respond to Med Supp mailers. They are also not good prospects for med supps.
