CoveredCA Moving the Goalposts

I got a call today from a client who tells me that they were recently kicked off their CoveredCA plan and assigned to Medi-CAL. Spoke with CoveredCA staff, and their explanation is that the poverty level guidelines have changed as of 4/1 and they are automatically disenrolling anyone who no longer qualifies for CC based on the new guidelines- no warning letter, no phone call, nothing. Just wake up one day with a cancellation letter and a "Welcome to Medi-CAL" packet. Anyone else experience this?

I was told the same thing. I have an individual that I've tried to get enrolled into Covered CA. She was enrolled last year in Medi-Cal, doesn't want it, doesn't like it, doesn't qualify due to income, etc. She disenrolled and has tried to enroll into Covered CA, but when we put her income above the stated Medi-Cal limit she was reenrolled into Medi-Cal. After we called Covered CA, they told us the same thing.
