Dad Has Both Genworth & Amerihealth

Dad has both genworth and amerihealth. He is thinking of dropping the genworth because of the difficult time he had with them when his wife was disabled and then passed away. Genworth was very difficult to deal with and offered no help.

What are the consequences. Is this a bad idea to drop genworth and just keep amerihealth.

I believe that amerihealth is a health insurance policy . Genworth is a long term care policy.

2 different animals.

It's a bad idea to drop either policy unless you know what you have and know what you need.

What does amerihealth cover ? (is this a LTC plan ?)

What does Genworth cover ?

Without more information, I would not recommend dropping a LTC plan.
