Denied life insurance because of PSA test

We found out today that my husband was denied life insurance, because of a PSA of 6.09. The insurance company sent out a nurse who drew his blood. What are our options now? I would hate for him to have to get risky procedures based off of a test the Cancer Society doesn't even suggest men get. Is there anybody who would cover him with such a result? They didn't give an option to pay more, just outright denied him. Any information would be appreciated. Thank you.

I would suggest he start with a visit to a Urologist. Any result above 4 is elevated.
