As discussed over the years, Dirigo can't wait for the fed programs to to bail them out so that the state dems can just declare the whole thing a victory for creating a leadership type program and then put it all on to the feds. Beleive me if this thing had to survive off state dollars or plan revenues it will continue going south bigtime in the areas where it is not already dead and de-activated.
The expectation that Dirigo is a complete flop so therefore people would be sounding the alarm to the feds and the rest of the country just isnt the way it works. Similarly, the Massachusetts experience will have no impact either. Obamacare is ideologically driven without regard to the facts. Yes, the reality of it all will set in as premiums and costs continue to rise but this will only serve to create more crisis for more fed control. November elections might turn the dial back a notch or two but not the direction.
