Do You Have a BOP on Your Agency?

Is this something any carriers are going to require me to have?
I'm not in a stand-alone office, so none of the property or furnishings are mine. I've got a laptop and printer worth about 500 bucks, so I don't have any owned property worth insuring. My E&O will cover my liability for if I do something wrong.

Or am I crazy for considering doing business without one?

I would say you are crazy not to have a GL if nothing else. If somebody gets hurt in or near your office and you have nothing you are in deep you know what.

I do zero commercial, so please excuse my ignorance...
there is GL (a CPP, actually) on the same address for the existing business I'm partnered with.
I'm hoping if I have a GL and am named in a lawsuit, hopefully only my GL would respond, or could that policy be considered excess? I'm hoping the two policies could be mutually excluded so if one entity gets sued, the other wouldn't get dragged in as well?

Hopefully this will make since,. The auto correct on my phone is on overdrive today :)

Yes... Just the smart thing todo. All I need is someone tripping as they come through the door. I also have it incase any of my item start s fire. Ie: printer. Electrical plug strip, coffee maker, you get the idea.

its also in the best interest of the person youre subleasing from.

He's going to assume all the liability if he didnt ask you for GL policy to add him as an AI.

Because everyone gets sued lol.
