We are having major issues in the Central Valley. I have called around to many doctors that are listed with Anthem Blue Cross in the new pathway network and they are now deciding to not accept it. One provider told me the reimbursement to doctors was at near Medi Cal levels. I have called some doctors and they said everything is the same and don't know what's happening.
I have a client that enrolled needing a knee surgery and their surgeon is not with Anthem anymore. They only accept group insurance which I believe is the Prudent Buyer network..I cannot even sell using the network list I have.
We're basically going to just sell Health Net which has the best network. If someone wants affordable they can have Anthem or Shield but it seems to be the new Medi Cal.
