Does NY Cell Ticket Affect Mass. Insurance

Hi. I have looked around the forum best I can and couldn't see this answered so apologies in advance if I missed it.
I recently got a ticket in New York for using a cell phone while driving. It's a valid ticket, paying it, no arguments there.
I live in Massachusetts and have my auto insurance in Mass. so my question is does anyone know if this ticket in NY will result in me getting any points or increased premiums on my Mass auto insurance? If needed, I have a clean driving record for the 10-plus years I've had a license.
Thanks for any help you can offer.

Shouldn't, don't think talking on the cell phone counts as a moving violation. I would think it is along the line of a parking ticket. You paid and you carry on. If not, unless your carrier likes to do MVRs on you in nearby states come renewal, you should be safe.

I'm with blue_wynd on this one.

Now if you actually had a moving violation it could be a completely different story. However, there are always exceptions to every rule. I live in south central PA near the mason dixon line. Since PA is a commonwealth and MD is a state, any moving violations in MD will not reflect as added points on my PA license. Of course, I still have to pay for any tickets accumulated in MD. :1wink:
