Have a client that has group insurance through BC/BS and they want to add her boyfriend on with her. Can she do that without being married? They have lived together for about 2 years.

Be advised on Domestic partners they can get 1099 at the end of the year for the value of the benefits. Check with your state and carrier.
I have had many group clients that chose to put the partner on indy plan because of the tax consequences of group.
